Frost
Frost
โFrostโ is a slang term in cannabis terminology used to describe flowers with a dense and visible layer of trichomes. These small resin-producing glands give the surface a whitish, crystallized, or โhoarfrostโ-like appearance.
The word does not refer to cold, but to the visual impression, which is reminiscent of rime or frost on a surface.
Frost in cannabis language use
In the cannabis world, โfrostโ serves as a visual quality marker. When a flower is described as โfrosty,โ it refers to a prominent and dense trichome coating that makes the surface bright and shimmering.
The term is often used in connection with well-known strains such as โwhite widowโ, which has historically been associated with a particularly crystallized expression.
It is important to emphasize that โfrostโ is not a strain or a separate category, but a descriptive term for appearance and structure.
